Nduja Calabra Piccante is a whole new experience when it comes to Italian Charcuterie. This originates from the Calabria region in Southern Italy with an exquisite flavour. It is a spreadable spicy, pork salami produced using local, hot chillies to form a pepper cream to give it an extra kick of flavour.
Njuna is the undisputed Queen of salamis and according to tradition produced during Winter from the fattest parts of pork like cheek, bacon and lard. These are minced together along with Calabrian chilli pepper to produce the red colour and also a long preservation. Thanks to the antiseptic properties of chili pepper, ‘nduja does not need any preservatives and it can be considered as a 100% natural and genuine product.
Best enjoyed either on a slice of toast, freshly baked bread, pizza topping or a favourite in Italy of adding to pasta dishes.
